Patch 26.10 went live on May 13, 2026, and it brings one of the most anticipated updates of the year: a modernization for Lee Sin. The Blind Monk — a staple of the game since his release — finally receives a partial rework designed to restore his shine in the current meta.
Safeguard (W): Unified Cooldown, Revamped Shield
The deepest change hits Lee Sin's W. His shield previously had a split cooldown: 12 seconds when dashing to a non-champion ally, and only 6 seconds toward a champion. That asymmetry is gone — the cooldown is now a flat 7 seconds across the board.
Shield values drop slightly — from 70/115/160/205/250 (+80% AP) to 60/105/150/195/240 (+80% AP) — but the unified cooldown brings far better combat predictability. Additionally, when Lee Sin wings to a ward or minion, he receives the shield himself rather than the target.
Tempest (E): Slightly Reduced AD Ratio
Lee Sin's E sees its magic damage ratio drop from 100% AD to 90% AD — a measured tweak aimed at softening his burst potential without curbing his mechanical expression.
Dragon's Rage (R): Collateral Goes Unconditional
The flashiest change lands on the ultimate. If Lee Sin kicks a champion with Dragon's Rage and that target dies mid-flight, the body now continues to fly, dealing damage and knocking up enemies in its path. This makes the most stylish plays even more rewarding — and promises memorable highlights on the competitive stage.
Other Notable Patch 26.10 Changes
The patch doesn't stop at Lee Sin. Ambessa, Galio, Wukong, and Zeri receive targeted buffs, while Anivia, Ashe, Naafiri, Shyvana, and Zed are nerfed. On the systems side, Doran's Bow and Doran's Helm are strengthened, with further adjustments to Lich Bane and Stormraider's Surge.
Lee Sin's modernization is a clear statement from Riot: iconic champions deserve to stay relevant without losing their identity. Patch 26.10 gives him new tools to shine while preserving the gameplay essence that made him a legend.
