Patch 26.22 hits live November 3, 2026. This major patch marks Teamfight Tactics separation into standalone client and brings balance shifts targeting the suppressed mid lane and dominant supports.
The big news: TFT standalone
TFT becomes its own independent client starting November 4, 2026. All existing cosmetics remain usable in League, but TFT-only cosmetics arrive December 1st. This separation means patch 26.22 is a larger download, but future patches will offer an opt-out for TFT downloads.
Champions: buffs for the suppressed
Corki and Rumble get buffed after pro play tuning pushed them down. Corki gains ult damage and Rumble scales harder with AP. Azir and Orianna had breathing room already. Naafiri returns to mid with heal and damage buffs. Aurelion Sol gets an E buff to make the cooler signature spell a viable second max.
Nerfs to the mega-banned
Locke, one of the most banned champs, loses Q stack damage (18-50 reduced to 15-43) and W duration drops from 6s to 5s. Yasuo gets similar treatment: Q becomes 100% AD instead of 105% to cap crit builds. Thresh remains oppressive and takes a second nerf: base AD -2 and ult damage cut (250/400/550 becomes 200/350/500).
Mel midscope update
Mel gets a partial rework. Her W shifts from passive reflect to a destructive nova that retaliates against enemy projectiles. Base stats shift (HP -50 but mana +38/level, AR +0.2/level). Q now refunds cooldown when hitting enemy champions. R cooldown drops massively at levels 1-2 (120/90/60 instead of 120/100/80). Passive and E get tweaks too.
Items: ADC and jungle tweaks
Doran's Bow loses 1 AD (8 becomes 7) to rebalance Doran choices. Gluttonous Greaves nerfed for ADC dominance. Overlord's Bloodmail gets adjusted as net buff for non-Sett juggernauts.
Elsewhere: jungle tanks return
Maokai returns to jungle with monster damage Q buffs. Shen jungle also gets a boost. Kayle top lane cooldowns improve for scaling flexibility. Viktor recovers in scaling after an overnerfed previous patch: health growth +5/level and R AP +10%.
