Invictus Gaming defeated Top Esports 3-1 in the Worlds 2026 quarterfinals on November 3, securing their first semifinal spot and eliminating their LPL rivals. Wei's jungle carry on Jayce and Naafiri in games 3 and 4 proved decisive as IG clinched the series.
IG's path to the semifinal
After losing game 1, Invictus recovered with a dominant performance led by TheShy and Rookie in the early game. Wei then took over on the carry, securing games 3 and 4 to advance. This marks IG's first Worlds semifinal since 2019.
TES out of contention
Top Esports' run ends after a strong Swiss Stage at 3-1. Both teams had identical game records heading into the series, but IG's teamfight coordination and Wei's mid-series carry proved the difference. A platform issue delayed game 4 by nearly an hour but did not prevent IG's advance.
LPL dominates the bracket
With IG through to the semis, the LPL is guaranteed to send at least two teams to the final. Bilibili Gaming still plays Dplus KIA on November 5.
What's next
Invictus Gaming will face the winner of Gen.G vs LYON (November 4) or Dplus KIA vs Bilibili Gaming (November 5) in the semifinals. The semifinals begin November 7 and 8 in Allen.
